Walt Wagner - Woodturner
Mr. Wager has continuously pushed his creative limits throughout his career. With an undergraduate degree in Industrial Arts, he has a wide range of experiences in woodworking, woodturning, metal working, ceramics, electronics, design and photography. He also taught at Florida State University for thirty-seven years as a professor, a coordinator of university faculty development services and as the Assistant Dean and Department Chair of the School of Teacher Education.
I studied woodworking at SUNY Oswego, started wood turning in 2002 and have taken lessons from a number of professional woodturners. Currently, I serve as the president of North Florida Woodturners, a chapter of the AAW.
Orchids are another passion. I grow them at my Florida home and recently started a business where I hope to share and sell some of both.
